Information about conditions treated.
The chiropractic and medical physician consultants for Chiropractic Works evaluate the body as a whole.
Special
attention is paid to the relationship of one body system to another. Structural imbalances and
nutrient and toxic overloads that adversely
affect the healthy interrelationship are considered.
Once the body is functional physically and provided with the nutrients
it needs, the interference to proper function is eliminated. Health
and well being can be restored!

(aka: Chiropractic)
Our specialty is the treatment and rehabilitation of the
Vertebral Subluxation Complex (VSC) and the Appendicular
Subluxation Complex (ASC).
As part of its multifaceted approach to assisting patients
towards an ever increasing experience of wellness, the Chiropractic profession
addresses the diagnosis and treatment of the Vertebral Subluxation Complex
(VSC) and other skeletal joint subluxations.
The spinal column is designed to function to "house
and protect" the delicate spinal cord and its branches of nerves (called
nerve roots) that exit between the vertebrae. The intimate relationship
that the vertebra have with those delicate nerve branches can cause them
to be severely damaged when the spine experiences forces that can "micro-damage"
the supporting ligament and/or muscle tissues that normally would not permit
abnormal movement of the bony structures of the spine sufficiently enough
to cause entrapment of the nerve roots associated with the vertebral joint.
Vertebral
Subluxation Complex or (VSC)
As entrapment of a spinal nerve root occurs
the structures of the joint itself begin a series of pathological processes
called the Vertebral Subluxation Complex or (VSC).
The components of this process are:
> Kinesiopathology - Loss of normal
joint motion.
> Histopathology - Inflammation
of the surrounding and supporting tissues.
> Myopathology - Major or minor
muscle spasm of the joints surrounding musculature.
> Neuropathology - Inflammation
of adjacent nerve tissue.
> Pathophysiology - Eventual
deposition of calcium salts into the supporting ligamentous tissue.
Peripheral Complications (Symptoms) Attributed
to the Vertebral Subluxation Complex (VSC):
Peripheral Symptoms
> Headaches
- frontal, occipital, "migraine", "tension", and "cluster"
types
> Neck pain and stiffness
> Upper Back
pain and stiffness
> Pain, numbness,
pins & needles, of the arms, hand, or fingers
> Mid back pain and stiffness
> Lower back pain and stiffness
> Hip pain and stiffness
> Groin pain
> Buttocks pain
> Sacroiliac pain
> Sciatic
pain, numbness, and pins & needles, of the legs, feet, or toes.
> Degenerative Disc Disease
(DDD)
> Bulging or herniating of spinal
discs.
> Scoliosis
Systemic Complications attributed to the Vertebral
Subluxation Complex (VSC):
Systemic Symptoms
> Allergies
> Dizziness
> Arthritis (Osteoarthritis)
> Asthma
& Emphysema
> Hypertension
> Cold & Flu
> Digestive problems
> Ear infections (Otitis media)
> Fevers
> Immune system dysfunction
> Menstrual dysfunction and PMS related
symptoms
> Fatigue
> Muscle spasms
> Sinus problems
> Stress
> Tinnitus (ringing in the ears)
> Trigger points
Appendicular Subluxation
Complex (ASC)
The same principle holds true for the other
joints of the skeleton other than the spine. Shoulders, elbows,
wrists, finger joints, hips, knees, ankles, and even toe joints can subluxate
when adequate force is applied to micro-damage the supporting tissues of
the joint.
Complications (Symptoms) of the Appendicular Subluxation
Complex (ASC)
Non-spinal Symptoms
> Shoulder pain and stiffness
> Elbow pain and stiffness
> Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS)
> Knee pain and stiffness
> Ankle pain and stiffness
